DLR & Grossman Burn Foundation Bringing Burn Treatment, Training and Telemedicine Program To Southeast Asia
DLR will be providing satellite communications and telemedicine services in partnership with the Grossman Burn Foundation for a humanitarian medical aid effort to Southeast Asia. In early December DLR’s Founder Randy Roberson will be traveling with a team of experts to a clinic run by International Friends of Compassion in a remote area of Southeast Asia to implement the first-ever Burn Treatment, Training and Telemedicine Program in the region. Severe burn injuries remain a neglected health crisis in for many poor and refugee populations around the world. It is estimated that more women in developing countries die of complications from burn injuries than they do of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis combined.
Our goal is to duplicate the program in other areas of critical need, such as Africa, Afghanistan, Vietnam and India. This pilot program will be the pioneering effort toward a global launch.
This video will provide a little background on the amazing work of our valued partner, the Grossman Burn Foundation.
